Terms of Use (End-User License Agreement)
Translatic · Version 1.0 · Effective September 24, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Sign & Sell LLC, 36635 148th Ave SE, Auburn, WA 98092 ("we", "us"). They cover the Translatic app and service ("the Service"). By tapping "I agree" you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
The key points, in plain words
- Translations are drafts made with artificial intelligence (AI). They can contain errors: misread names, numbers or dates, missing text, or wrong wording.
- You are solely responsible for checking every translation against the original document, and for whatever you do with it: signing, certifying, notarising, delivering or submitting it.
- The Service does not certify translations and does not replace a qualified translator.
- The Service is provided "as is", and our liability is limited (sections 8–9).
- You decide what to translate. Upload only documents you are authorised to process (section 4).
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the Service for a business, you accept these Terms for that business, and "you" includes it.
2. What the Service does, and what it doesn't
You alone choose which documents you upload and translate, and for what purpose, and you are responsible for that choice. We don't review, approve or monitor your documents or translations, and we make no promise that the Service is suitable for any particular kind of document or use.
The Service reads photos or scans of documents and produces draft translations, a second automatic check, and Word and PDF files, using AI. The AI can be wrong, and so can the automatic check. The Service is a drafting aid only. It gives no legal, immigration or other professional advice. It does not certify, notarise or guarantee acceptance of any translation by any authority, court, agency or person. Any certification text in the files comes from what you enter, and you are responsible for it.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree that you:
- review every draft in full against the original before using it, and correct any errors;
- are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness and use of every translation you deliver, sign, certify or submit, and for any certification or statement you add;
- hold any qualification, certification or licence your work requires, and follow the rules of the places where the translation will be used;
- keep your device and account secure, and are responsible for activity in your account;
- give accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Documents and personal data you upload
You may upload only documents you have the right to process. Where a document contains other people's personal data, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consent or notice the law requires, including for sending it to our AI service provider as described in the Privacy Policy. We process that content only on your instructions and only to provide the Service. You keep all rights in your content. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide the Service.
5. Acceptable use
You won't: use the Service for forgery, fraud or any unlawful purpose; upload content you have no right to; attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass the security of the Service; resell or give others access to your account; or use the Service to build a competing product. We may suspend or end access if you break these rules or if we must to protect the Service, other users or the law.
6. Free documents, credits and subscriptions
- Free trial. A new account gets a small number of free credits to try the Service, once per person.
- Credits. Reading a document uses credits; the app shows how many before it starts (currently one credit for a document of up to 4 pages or photos). Editing, checking again, and making Word and PDF files don't use credits. If reading fails because of a problem on our side, the credits are returned. Credits don't expire, have no cash value, can't be transferred, and are used only in the Service.
- Subscriptions. A subscription includes the number of documents a month shown before you buy; unused documents don't carry over. It renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Purchases are made through Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's terms, including billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds, which Apple handles. Prices and what each option includes are shown in the app before purchase. We may change prices or what's included for future purchases; credits you already have keep their value.
- If we end the Service entirely, we'll give notice in the app, and you can use your remaining credits or ask Apple for a refund where its terms allow.
7. Changes, availability and ending the agreement
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; for significant changes we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end these Terms if you break them. Sections 3, 4 (responsibility), 8–12 and 14 continue after the agreement ends.
8. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all translations, checks and files are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions don't allow excluding certain warranties. In that case they are limited to the shortest period the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill, or rejected, delayed or refused applications, filings or submissions, arising from or related to the Service or any translation, even if we were advised of the possibility;
- we are not liable for errors or omissions in translations or checks, or for your use of them;
- our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US $100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence), or your statutory rights as a consumer where they apply.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sign & Sell LLC, its owners, officers, employees and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, fines and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Service; any translation you deliver, sign, certify or submit; content you upload, including other people's personal data; or your breach of these Terms or of the law.
11. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts in King County, Washington, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the Service or these Terms, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. If you live in a country whose law gives you the right to go to your local courts, that right is not affected. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arose, where the law allows.
12. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor of our business.
13. Apple (required terms)
- Parties. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- License. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. (The app may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where those rules allow.)
- Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for maintenance and support, as described in these Terms and required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide any.
- Warranty. To the extent any warranty isn't effectively disclaimed, we, not Apple, are responsible for it. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent not disclaimed.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data service agreement, when using the app.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
