Privacy Policy
Translatic · Effective September 24, 2026 · Last updated September 28, 2026
This policy explains what information Sign & Sell LLC ("we", "us") collects through the Translatic app and service ("the Service"), what we do with it, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. The Service turns documents you upload into draft translations. The documents you choose to translate often carry personal details, of you or of other people, so we collect as little as possible, use it only to provide the Service, and never sell it.
The short version
- You upload photos or scans of documents; we turn them into draft translations for you.
- To do that, the document images and text are processed by our artificial-intelligence (AI) service provider. It may not use them to train its models and deletes them within 30 days (see section 4). We ask for your permission before your first upload.
- We don't show ads, don't track you across other apps or websites, and don't sell or share personal information for advertising.
- Your documents and translations stay in your account until you delete them. Deleting your account, which you can do in the app, deletes everything.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Sign & Sell LLC, a Washington limited liability company, 36635 148th Ave SE, Auburn, WA 98092 ("we"). For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@translatic.app. The Service is offered in the United States only.
2. Our role for the documents you upload
You decide which documents to upload and whose details they contain (yours, your family's or your clients'). For that content, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any permission you need to process it, and we process it on your behalf and only to provide the Service to you. (In privacy-law terms, you are the "controller" of that content and we are your "processor". A data processing agreement is available on request at info@translatic.app.) For your own account information, we are responsible.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account information. When you sign in with Apple we receive a user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (Apple may give us a private relay address instead). We use them to run your account and to contact you about it.
3.2 Documents you upload ("Document Content"). The photos, scans or files you add; the text read from them; the draft translations; your edits; the notes and instructions you type; your client (folder) names; saved name spellings; and the closing text you set in Settings (for example your certification statement). Documents such as birth, marriage and education certificates, passports, ID and residence cards can contain names, dates and places of birth, family relationships, citizenship, nationality or ethnic origin, document and ID numbers, addresses, photographs and signatures of you or other people.
3.3 Purchases. If you buy a subscription or credits, the payment is handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of what was bought and when, and whether it is active. We never receive your card or bank details.
3.4 Technical information. To run and secure the Service our servers record limited technical data: IP address, device type and operating-system version, app version, time of requests, and error reports. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools.
3.5 Messages to us. If you contact support, we keep your message and our reply.
We do not knowingly collect information from children (see section 11). We do not request access to your location, contacts or microphone. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to photograph or pick a document.
4. How we use information, and the AI processing
We use information only to:
- provide the Service: read your documents, draft and check translations, create Word and PDF files, store your work, and let you share it;
- run your account and purchases;
- keep the Service secure and working: prevent abuse, fix errors, and keep required records;
- meet legal obligations.
Artificial intelligence. Drafts and the automatic second check are made with an AI model. The images and text of the documents you upload, together with your instructions, are sent to our AI service provider, Anthropic, PBC (USA), which processes them to produce the draft and returns the result to us. Under its commercial terms Anthropic may not train its models on this content, and it deletes it within 30 days. It may keep content flagged as possibly violating its usage policy for up to 2 years to enforce that policy, or longer where the law requires. We ask for your explicit permission before the first upload, and you can withdraw it at any time (section 9). Without it, we can't read documents for you.
We do not use your Document Content to train AI models, to build profiles, for advertising, or for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. Every translation is a draft. You are responsible for checking it against the original before you use, sign, certify or deliver it. The Service makes no decisions about people.
5. Why we may use information
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for (account, documents, translations, purchases).
- Consent: for sending Document Content to our AI provider, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests: for security, preventing abuse and fixing errors, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: for keeping records the law requires (for example tax records of purchases).
Where documents contain sensitive information, such as ethnic origin shown as "nationality" on older certificates or government ID numbers, you must make sure you may process it (for example with the person's consent). We process it only on your instructions.
6. Who else handles information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, only as far as they need it, and under contracts that require them to protect it at least as well as this policy does and to use it only for us:
| Provider | What they do | What they receive | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic, PBC | AI reading and checking of documents | Document images, text, instructions | USA |
| [Hosting provider] | Servers and storage | All data stored by the Service (encrypted) | [Region] |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | The translatic.app website, and passing support email on to our inbox | Your messages to info@translatic.app | USA |
| Google (Gmail) | Support email inbox | Your messages | USA |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, payments, app distribution | As described in Apple's own privacy policy | Worldwide |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's rights and safety, or to a buyer or successor if our business is transferred. Any successor would remain bound by this policy. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Files you send or share from the app (for example by email) go where you send them, and we don't control them after that.
7. Where information is processed
The Service is offered in the United States, and we and our providers process and store information in the United States.
8. How long we keep information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Documents, translations, clients, spellings, closing text | Until you delete them. Items in "Recently deleted" are removed after 30 days. |
| All account data, after you delete your account | Deleted within 30 days; removed from backups within a further 60 days. |
| A coded marker that an account already had the free translations | Kept after the account is deleted, so the free offer can't be claimed again. It is a one-way code made from the Apple sign-in identifier: no name, email or document, and it can't be turned back into the identifier. |
| Content at our AI provider | Deleted within 30 days (up to 2 years if flagged under its usage policy, as described in section 4). |
| Technical logs | 30 days, unless needed longer to investigate a security issue. |
| Purchase records | As long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 7 years). |
| Support messages | 2 years after the conversation ends. |
9. Your choices and rights
- In the app: delete a translation, a client (with all their documents), or your whole account (Settings → Delete account). Deleting is permanent once the periods above have passed.
- Withdraw consent to AI processing in Settings. Reading new documents then stops. Withdrawing doesn't affect processing already done.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your information, receive a copy in a portable format, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and not be discriminated against for using these rights. Residents of California and other US states have the rights their state law gives, including to know, delete and correct. We do not sell or share personal information, and we use sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers in documents) only to provide the Service.
- How to ask: email info@translatic.app from the address linked to your account, or use the in-app options. We may need to verify your identity. We reply within one month (45 days where US state law allows). You may use an authorised agent where the law allows.
- Requests about someone else's document: if your details appear in a document another user uploaded, please contact that person first, since they decide about that content. We will help them respond.
- Complaints: you can complain to your local data-protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve it first.
10. Security
Information is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access by our staff is limited to what is needed to run and support the Service and is logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
The Service is for adults (18 or older) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as users. Documents about children, such as birth certificates, are processed only as Document Content on the user's instructions.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any update here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect, and ask for your consent again where the law requires.
